renegade cinema

for all those that attended renegade last night...wow! for those that didnt, heres a wee recap to try and get you all onboard nextime.

whether it was the official fullmoon or not the night got-off to a beautiful start. i drove out to kenmore to try an enlist a few more recruits, and as we were driving back the moon was glowing orange, and hovering right over the city. as the sun set, and we gathered blankets, beers and munchables the sky gradiated through all the warm hues of orange, pink, purple and red, till finally the sun was gone. at this moment, we arrive at anzac park and attempt to find our way to this illusive cinema. nestled into a dried up creek bed we find a small posse of people, all huddled around with blankets, mattresses, pillows an beers bathed in the warm glow of projector and citronella candles.

on tonights menu: shaun of the dead (since halloween was last week), some red dwarf in the interlude, and then ferris beulers day off! bam! good times had all around, beautiful setting (minus the mosquitos), beautiful people, beer, what more could we want.

so...im thinking, maybe i will steal this projector system and show subject you all to some of my favourite japanese animations...yes...for all of you who know/watch much of the stuff you know one night is not enough. you will then identify with my dilema of offering some new stuff to entertain the vetrans, some wierd stuff to make everyone make those fabled "crazy japanese people" remarks, and some classics for everyone! its like making a mixed tape, only riskier! so keep an ear out kids, minasan wa, kimashyoo desu ne!!!
